More Than Learning a Sequence

Become a Teacher Who Understands
Both the Practice and the Person.

Learning postures and memorizing cues is only one part of becoming a yoga teacher. Bhakti Yoga Teacher Training is designed to deepen your own practice while helping you develop the knowledge, awareness, communication skills, and confidence needed to guide others responsibly.

You’ll explore yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment, modifications, breath, meditation, Ayurveda, teaching methodology, and the Bhakti Hot 26 method — while gradually developing your own authentic voice as a teacher.

Who This Training Is For

You Don’t Have to Know Yet
Exactly Where Yoga Will Take You.

Some students enter teacher training knowing they want to teach. Others simply feel ready to understand yoga more deeply. Both belong here.

Deepen Your Practice

Go beyond simply following a class. Learn why postures are taught the way they are, explore yoga philosophy and develop a more thoughtful personal practice.

Become a Yoga Teacher

Develop the practical skills to lead students safely and confidently through clear cueing, observation, modifications, sequencing and supervised teaching practice.

Grow Personally

Explore meditation, self-observation, the Yamas and Niyamas, Ayurveda and other traditional teachings that invite yoga off the mat and into everyday life.

You do not need to be the most flexible person in the room, have an advanced practice, or already feel comfortable speaking in front of a class. That is what training is for.

How the Training Works

Online — But Never On Your Own.

This is not a course where you are handed a collection of videos and left to figure it out yourself. Bhakti Teacher Training is a guided cohort experience with regular interaction, accountability, feedback, and direct support from Ed and Sandy throughout the program.

01

Weekly Live Zoom

Train directly with Ed and Sandy through scheduled live teaching, discussion, demonstrations, practice, and coaching.

02

Replay Access

Can’t attend a session live? Zoom trainings will be recorded so you can stay current with the cohort.

03

Guided Coursework

Work through lessons, readings, personal practice, reflection, anatomy, philosophy, and teaching assignments between sessions.

04

Practice & Feedback

Gradually practice teaching, receive feedback, refine your skills, and work toward a final teaching practicum.

Lessons and resources will be released progressively throughout the training, giving you a clear path to follow without having to absorb everything at once.

What You'll Learn

A Training That Goes Far Beyond
Memorizing Yoga Poses.

The Bhakti curriculum brings together physical practice, teaching skill, yoga philosophy, anatomy, self-study, and real teaching experience.

01

Asana & The Bhakti Hot 26 Method

Learn the sequence, posture names, foundational alignment, breathing, modifications, cueing, and safe ways to guide different bodies through the practice.

02

Anatomy & Healthy Movement

Explore major bones, joints, muscles, connective tissues, movement patterns, stability, flexibility, and how anatomy informs safer yoga instruction.

03

Teaching Methodology

Develop your voice, observation skills, cueing, communication, class leadership, modification strategies, and ability to teach students with different levels of experience and ability.

04

Yoga Philosophy & History

Study yoga's historical roots, major texts, the eight-limbed path, the Yamas and Niyamas, Hatha and Raja Yoga, subtle anatomy, and the deeper traditions behind modern practice.

05

Meditation, Yoga Nidra & Ayurveda

Explore contemplative practice, self-observation, Yoga Nidra, Ayurvedic principles, daily routines, and ways the broader yoga tradition can support life beyond the mat.

06

Practicum & Teaching Development

Move gradually from practicing individual cues to leading portions of a class and ultimately demonstrating your ability to guide students with clarity, confidence, and care.

Learn By Actually Teaching

Confidence Comes From Practice.

You won’t wait until the end of training to begin finding your teaching voice. Throughout the program, you’ll practice cueing, observation, communication, and leading portions of class while receiving feedback and guidance.

STEP 1

Practice the Pieces

Work on individual cues, posture explanations, demonstrations, modifications, and transitions in a supportive setting.

STEP 2

Lead & Receive Feedback

Begin leading sections of practice and receive constructive feedback to strengthen clarity, presence, confidence, and observation.

STEP 3

Complete Your Practicum

Demonstrate your ability to guide students through a class with safe instruction, thoughtful communication, and an authentic teaching presence.

Practicum options will be structured so both local and remote trainees can complete their teaching requirements.
