The sister science of yoga provides guidelines for your unique constitution. You have a unique blend of the three doshas which represent air, space, fire, water and earth. Vata dosha is air and space and is characterized by movement. Vata issues show up as anxiety, sleeplessness and digestive issues. Pitta dosha is fire and water . Pitta is intense! Some imbalances in pitta show up as anger, heartburn and skin rashes. Kapha is water and earth and provides structure. The 1st and 2nd Limbs are the Yamas and Niyamas; yogas ethical restraints and observances. The 3rd Limb is the yoga Asanas or postures. The 4th Limb is Pranayama; breath control. The 5th Limb is Pratyahara; withdrawal of the senses. The 6th Limb is Dharana; concentration. The 7th Limb is Dhyana; meditation and the 8th Limb is Samadhi known as bliss.
