New to Bhakti?

You Don’t Have to Be Flexible, Fit, or Experienced to Begin.

If you’ve been thinking about starting yoga, returning to movement, building strength, improving balance, or simply doing something good for yourself, you’re in the right place.

Bhakti is designed for real people with real bodies, real schedules, and different starting points. You don’t need to keep up with anyone else. You just need a place to begin.

Before You Talk Yourself Out of It

Yes, You Can Start Here.

I’m Not Flexible

You do not need flexibility to start yoga. Flexibility is something that can improve with practice.

I’m Out of Shape

You do not need to “get in shape first.” Every class gives you room to work at your own pace and ability.

I Haven’t Exercised in Years

That’s okay. We offer heated, warm, and non-heated options so you can choose a starting point that feels manageable.

I’m Afraid I’ll Be the Worst One

There is no “best” or “worst” person in the room. Your practice is yours, and everyone starts somewhere.

Find Your Starting Point

Which Type of Class Is Right for Me?

There isn’t one correct place to begin. Choose based on the environment and style that feels most comfortable to you.

Hot • 105–110°F

Hot Yoga & Hot Flow

Best for people who enjoy heat, sweating, and a physically active practice. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to work at their own pace.

Warm • 90–95°F

Warm Yoga & Specialty Flow

A moderate-temperature option for people who want the benefits of a warm room without the intensity of our hottest classes.

Non-Heated

Bhakti Balance™ & Yoga Nidra

Ideal if you prefer a non-heated setting or want to focus on strength, balance, mobility, relaxation, or a gentler entry point.

Your First Visit

What Should I Expect?

1. Arrive a Little Early

Give yourself enough time to get settled, find your space, and ask any questions before class begins.

2. Tell Us You’re New

Let your teacher know it’s your first visit or first time back in a while. That helps us support you better.

3. Work at Your Own Pace

Rest when you need to, modify when appropriate, and focus on learning rather than performing perfectly.

Keep It Simple

What Should I Bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For heated classes, bring water and a towel. A yoga mat is recommended. If you’re unsure about anything before your first visit, contact us and we’ll help.

Common Questions

Still Unsure? Start Here.

Are all Bhakti classes for beginners?

Yes. All of our regular classes are open to all levels, including beginners. Some classes are more physically demanding than others, but you are always encouraged to work at your own pace.

Do I have to be flexible?

No. Flexibility is not a requirement for yoga. Many people begin because they want to become more flexible.

Do I have to be physically fit?

No. You do not need to reach a certain fitness level before starting. Choose a class that feels appropriate and let your teacher know you’re new.

What if I can’t do a pose or exercise?

That is completely normal. You can modify, pause, or rest as needed. The goal is not perfect performance.

What is the difference between hot, warm, and non-heated classes?

Hot classes are approximately 105–110°F, warm classes are approximately 90–95°F, and non-heated classes are practiced at normal room temperature.

What if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Let the teacher know before class. If you have a medical concern or are unsure whether a class is appropriate for you, check with your healthcare professional before beginning a new exercise program.

Your First Class Is Just a Starting Point.

You don’t need to know exactly where this will lead. Pick a class that feels right, show up, and let the process begin from there.
